Redesigning Cities’ Parks as Social Infrastructure

In January 2019, Maurice Cox, Architect and Planning Commissioner of Detroit shared the Detroit civic commons work and the City of Detroit’s strategy for investing in parks and public spaces as part of Redesigning Cities: The Speedwell Foundation Talks @ Georgia Tech series of lectures and conversations.

He then participated in a conversation with Mitchell Silver, Parks and Recreation Commissioner of New York City on redesigning parks as social infrastructure.
