The future of Detroit’s Fitzgerald community is bright with vacancy being turned into assets throughout the neighborhood. On July 28, Ella Fitzgerald Park opened to fanfare as community members gathered to cut the ribbon on their new green gathering space complete with a playscape, basketball courts, communal tables and grills.
The Detroit News was there to cover the opening.
