Reimagining the Civic Commons, in collaboration with learning partners, City Observatory and Interface Studio and local teams, has released final metrics reports based on a measurement system that captures the social impacts of reinvesting in civic assets.

Final metrics reports, representing data collected over the life of the initiative (2017 – 2023) in an initial set of demonstration cities, share the stories of change in the sites and the neighborhoods that surround them. These data show measurable results: more people are connecting across differences of income and race, engaging in local community life and feeling greater connection to nature. Visits to public spaces and interactions with new people have increased, and support and funding for the public realm have grown. These investments are not only changing the public spaces but also elevating social connection, building trust and generating hope for a better future.
